What does scripture say about love? How does scripture define love?

Love is patient and kind. She's not jealous or arrogant, proud or offensive. Love is not selfish. She does not allow herself to be irritated, and if you do her evil, she does not hold it up. She never rejoices in injustice, she always rejoices in the truth. Love endures everything, never loses faith, always keeps hope and remains, no matter what happens. 1 Corinthians 13: 4-7 (NLT)

Scripture makes it clear that love in God's eyes is something very different from what we read in love stories or see in films. The society around us has a very different view of love. It is completely contrary to what God has for us. In this world love is always equated with sexuality and the definition is always concerning our body. There are always conditions in which you are loved. In every country, there are different ideologies and cultural backgrounds, but all basically say the same thing:

You are loved when ...

Our Heavenly Father doesn't have any of these conditions as to when to be loved. He created you to live in a relationship with him, to walk on this earth knowing that you are his child who is deeply loved by the Father. The only thing he wants from you is your heart! Your dedication that you live your life for him.

I know that it is easier to follow the way of the world than to follow the scriptures. A daily decision is necessary here to say yes, yes I want your will and your way of life. Yes, I want to live in your love, I say yes and ask you to rest my soul in me to remain under the protection of the Lord, just as King David prayed. He has so many blessings for you if you walk the path that He made for you, blessings that you cannot imagine in your wildest dreams.

But it happened, as the Scriptures say: "No eye has ever seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has ever devised what God has in store for those who love him." 1 Corinthians 2: 9 (NLT)

Does that mean we no longer have problems with God's love? No, that's the human way of thinking and believing. GOD is interested in shaping our character and in his great love he will show you step by step how to lead you.

Be sure he made a way for you, but you have to trust him. From my experience, I can tell you that he always does things in a different order and in a different time frame, as I would like. He has the bigger picture and the bigger plan of seeing your whole life. Look what the scriptures say:

Seek the Lord as long as he can be found. Call to him while he is near. The wicked should leave his path and the evildoer should refrain from his plans! Instead, let him turn to the Lord that he may have mercy on him. Yes, turn to our God, for there is much forgiveness with him. “My thoughts are not your thoughts,” says the Lord, “and my ways are not your ways. For as much as heaven is higher than the earth, so much higher are my ways above your ways and my thoughts above your thoughts. "Isaiah 55: 6-9 (NLT)

God is almighty!

GOD is GOD and we as his creation cannot always explain everything and sometimes it seems difficult to understand what is right and what is wrong.

I want to encourage you to look at his face and you will find rest in his presence and peace in his love. Look again at what the scriptures say:

Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him and he abides in God. We have seen how much God loves us and we believe in his love. God is love, and whoever lives in love lives in God and God lives in him. 17 And when we live in God, his love in us reaches its goal. 1.John 4,15-17 (NLT)

Our Heavenly Father is the only one with the power to heal broken hearts. He is the only one who gave his Son for us and there is only one way to the Father, through Jesus Christ. If you agree with the scriptures, simply repeat the following words and prayers as you grow closer to our Heavenly Father. Be blessed and healed in his great and almighty love!

Heavenly Father,

I thank you for your infinite and eternal love. You say you are love and I want to experience your love in my life. When you gave Jesus for me, you opened the way for me. I want to honor you and put my trust and hope in you.

Today I bring you my broken heart and ask you to heal it and fill it with your eternal love. Show me how you see me and give me insight and understanding about your great and heavenly love. Let me understand your ways and thoughts, let me grow deeper and deeper into you so that I can live my life in your presence to your honor.

In your mighty name, Jesus, amen!
