This is a powerful word for you and me. God is fighting for us. He is faithful and his mercy and guidance endure forever. For Joshua, it was very important to get that word when he became the leader of Israel. It was a great calling, a huge responsibility to follow in Moses's footsteps and for sure it was not easy to lead all the people and get their trust, facing a huge crowd of enemies. But look what God told him: "No one will be able to stand against you, as long as you live." Joshua faced his enemies physically, we are confronted with spiritual enemies, with principalities and powers. God´s promises are still the same.
