The eyes of the Lord watch over those who do right, and his ears are open to their prayers. But the Lord turns his face against those who do evil. 1.Peter 3:12
When Jesus was on the cross, on each side of him was somebody on the cross, too. Both of the criminals had a very different attitude. One was very aware of what he had done and what he deserves. He took responsibility for his actions and found the love of GOD. The other one was mocking JESUS and talking very respectless to him. There was no doubt, that he had no self-reflection of his deads nor was he able to be humble in any way.
One of the criminals hanging beside him scoffed, “So you’re the Messiah, are you? Prove it by saving yourself—and us, too, while you’re at it!”
But the other criminal protested, “Don’t you fear God even when you have been sentenced to die? We deserve to die for our crimes, but this man hasn’t done anything wrong.” Then he said, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your Kingdom.” Luke 23:39-42
JESUS saved the humble sinner in the very second at the cross, when he asked JESUS to remember him. It is today still the same. When we come humbly before the LORD, he instantly is willing to forgive us. The one thing GOD needs the most is the ability to self-reflect our behavior and our mindset, otherwise, the Holy Spirit has no chance to teach and lead us where we need to go. Every day GOD gives us a new opportunity to hear his voice, get clear instruction and come closer to him. Let this week be a week, where the Holy Spirit can teach and guide you so that you are able to receive all the blessings of heaven for your life.
Heaven is open, so receive your personal Pentecost with the LORD.
